Welcome to the course!

Welcome and congratulations for the choice you made to embark on this adventure.

In this first class, we will briefly explore the origins of Ayurveda, we will learn about the most important texts on which this beautiful science is based and you will understand more its deep connection with the discipline of Yoga.

Please write down in your journal the answers to these questions and keep them well. You will go back to them once you completed the course.

WHY IS THIS COURSE FOR YOU?
I know you have plenty of questions about your body and mind and are looking for solutions to some of your challenges, answers to your some of your questions and an ease of your suffering.
During the adventure we are about to start together we’ll explore the knowledge of this sacred millennial science and we will be applying some of its principles in a very practical way.
What you define as “you” is a sum of memories and patterns and the only way to change yourself is to change these patterns. These patterns are formed and maintained by certain mechanisms and functions and this is what you are going to learn about: how they form, what are the laws behind them and how you can change them.
As you will discover for yourself this course is about you being present in every instant of your life, and being fully alive and connected no matter what happens to you.

Learn about the spiritual and philosophical background of Ayurveda. Learn what you CAN do to make this ride more enjoyable and more pleasant. Learn about the 5 elements, the 3 doshas, what they are, how they manifest, their role in your body, how to keep them balanced and also how to identify the unique mix of the doshas in your body, your Constitution. Understand your unique mind – body blue print and thus learn what to do – or not to do – what to eat and not to eat in order to feel healthy, happy and alive. Dive into the more subtle insights of Ayurveda and it’s psychology focusing on understanding the mind levels, how they function, how you can make them work for you and not against you, how to deal with others and how to understand others according to their doshas so that you can have better and more fulfilling relationships. Explore the deeply rooted beliefs and various ways to change them for a more fulfilling life experience. Learn what changes you can start applying in your life, how to detox your body, how to take care of it, how to reduce your dosha. You will learn what type of food is good for you and how to prepare certain classical Ayurvedic recipes such as ghee, Kicharee, lassi, how to prepare your self massage oil, adapted to your constitution, etc.
